We are so thrilled to announce that Ashby Laine will be spending over a week in our city! She will be teaching 3 workshops, available for private lessons and here to hangout and share food with our amazing community.

Ashby’s contagious smile and big personality will have you feeling comfortable dancing in no time! Whether it is Semba, Kizomba, body movement, lead & follow technique or beyond, Ashby is known for her strong teaching ability and creative, useful exercises and explanations.
Ashby is uniquely recognized for her expertise in grounded movement, and how our body movement really works in the dance.

In class, Ashby goes above and beyond sequences, to give helpful information students can take with them, so that classes are truly a long-term learning opportunity. She also plans each class based on the specific community she will teach, meaning no two classes are the same, and that each class is catered to specific needs.

Ashby has been teaching Kizomba for 11+ years. She has a professional background in training and teaching, which adds a unique perspective to her teaching methods. Ashby is known for her passion for sharing valuable and relevant tools with follows in class – an important piece so often neglected.

Throughout her career, Ashby has spent time fostering her hometown community via weekly classes, teaching at festivals around the globe, instructing weekenders and intensives. In most recent years, conducting residencies in communities to support local organizers, train teachers, and inspire the community.

• $140 includes 3 workshops and socials if paid AFTER Aug. 15th
• $50 for 1 workshop only
