Let’s celebrate Becky’s Birthday in her favourite way! By having a community building fundraising event. Let’s come together to dance, eat, learn and grow. ALL proceeds go towards “Casa del Corazon”. This project is to build affordable housing just outside the city of Medellin, Colombia. There will also be a silent auction portion to this event which is open to the community. It will have various items dance and non dance related.

Ashby Laine with her contagious smile she will have you feeling comfortable dancing in no time! Whether it is semba, kizomba, movement or beyond, Ashby brings strong teaching ability, unique exercises and explanations to any class she instructs.

Ashby’s kizomba journey began in Boston in 2014, and since then has been fortunate to train with, learn from and teach with many talented dancers from Europe and the USA.

Ashby has a professional background in training and teaching, which adds a unique perspective to her teaching methods. Ashby is inspired by the beautiful women she encounters in the kizomba world and seeks to connect with and guide other women to grow. She is known for her passion for sharing valuable and relevant tools to follows in class which is something that is much needed. For the leads, Ashby can not only dance and teach this role but also explain how to do so in a way that you will be able to send a clear message and at the same time making it feel good for the follow.

* Saturday June 10th (3 hours of workshops + 1 hour guided practice, 5 hours of social dancing)
* 11am – 12pm (Body Movement)
* 12pm – 2pm (Kizomba/Semba)
* 2pm – 2:30pm (Break)
* 2:30pm – 3:30pm (Guided Practica)
